The following terms are applied to every booking, and supersede any of the following terms if differing from these Covid-related terms:
1) To book, we take 20% of your booking total upfront via debit or credit with a signed contract. We do not accept e-transfers. This initial retainer is non-refundable.
2) The remaining balance is due 1 week before the wedding, giving couples a considerable amount of time to cancel or postpone due to Covid without losing the larger portion of their investment. This also gives couples more time to change details if restrictions lift or increase near to their Day Of, such as party size/services. Changes could reduce or increase your remaining total accordingly. Any reductions in services or party size after the final balance is paid is non-refundable under any circumstance.
Please be advised we do not do multiple split payments. There is a retainer and a final balance payment only. Attempts at paying several unauthorized payments towards your booking can result in fees. This also applies to paying your balance too far in advance. Please complete your final payment on the due date of 7 days prior to the wedding day and no more than a week earlier.
3) If needing to postpone due to Covid, there are no penalties or fees to do so, and also there are no restrictions on how far in the future you can postpone to.
Weddings booked 30 days or less to the Day Of require the entire balance to be paid in order to secure the booking.
The AnnimationsMkUp Basic Service Standard
Every wedding of every size includes:
If booking just hair -
Professional Hair styling for the entire party
Hair accessories or veil installation + teach a party member how to remove
If booking just make up -
Professional Make Up Applications for the entire party
Includes luxe skin prep, and lashes if desired (encouraged)
On top of these mentioned above, the Bride(s) also receive:
- a Touch Up Kit featuring a lipstick, touch up sponge and other necessary items we chose for each specific Bride's needs
Brides/Party who are booked for both services will receive all of what's mentioned above.
What brands of skin, make up/hair products and tools do you use?
Depending on the skin's needs (hydration, anti-aging, oil-control, etc.) we select appropriate skin care from brands like Sonia Rosseli, Embryolisse, Charlotte Tilbury and Laneige.
Since the majority of my work is bridal and/or will be photographed, I exclusively use Danessa Myricks, Temptu, or Make Up Forever foundations for my clients. My artists that are assigned to weddings will also use Make Up Forever, MAC, Bobbi Brown or Huda Beauty. In terms of other types of make up, ranging from eyes to cheeks and lips, we carry a range of brands which by majority are MAC, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Morphe, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Ben Nye and Senna. Brushes are mostly MAC and Bdellium.
As for hair, we mostly use Bumble and Bumble, MoroccanOil, Colour WOW, Drybar, T3, Babyliss, Schwarzkopf, and Avanti products and tools.
How long does hair and/or make up take?
This really depends most on the condition of the client's skin as well as what they are looking for as a final result. More intricate make-up requires more time for example, but also to create a soft and natural look on a skin that needs a considerable amount of correction to achieve a smooth and uniform finish and colour also requires more time. The same goes for hair styles that are very ornate or that require accessories like extensions. The average make up application or hair style for an adult or teenager will take 30-45 minutes per service, while a service for a child will typically take about 30 minutes in total depending on the length of hair, style requested and being able to complete the service without interruptions (which are normal since most kids don't like strangers or to sit still for a long time)
Travel, Kids and Retainers
Many of the following costs are absorbed when booking a Beauty Package.
Calgary (+BC): Travel within Calgary is included. Outside of the following areas can be determined:
Travel to Airdrie/Priddis/Chestermere/Bearspaw is $75, Cochrane/Bragg Creek/Okotoks is $100, to Kananaskis/Canmore is $120, Banff/Sundre/Olds is $150, Lethbridge/Red Deer is $200, Golden is $300, etc.
We are happy to serve all of Alberta and much of Eastern British Columbia.
Travel in Toronto and the GTA up to Scarborough/Etobicoke/North York is $50, Brampton/Sauga/Pickering/Vaughn is $75, Oakville, Milton, Orangeville, Guelph, Whitby, Peterborough is $100, weddings in Niagara Falls travel is $200. We are happy to serve all of Ontario.
Flower Girls under age 5 are Free. Over 5, hair and a touch of make-up is $50. Child price holds until age 11, afterwards hair and make up is $120, and after age 16 they are at adult pricing.
20% retainers made to hold your day are non-refundable. The remaining total is due no later than 7 days to the Day Of. Any cancellations, whether of the entire contract or of one/multiple services made after the 7 day mark are non-refundable. Postponements can be arranged for emergency situations such as family deaths and widespread viral/infectious health risks.
Specialty Needs and Services:
Artists can be booked for a return service of a hair and/or make up change before the reception at $100 per service.
Artists can be booked to remain at your disposal by the hour at $25/hr per artist for touch ups from after the ceremony until any time you desire. Hair/make up changes are an additional charge.
Hair Extensions are available for order if needed. Price determined by needs such as length, fullness and quality. Starting price point is $100 and goes up depending on fullness, length and quality.
Additional Services Include but are not limited to:
False Eyelashes: Included. $5 Application fee for outside lashes
Hair Extension Styling and Placement: Included for the Bride, $20 for others
Weddings that must begin prior to 7 am due to scheduling and party size are subject to an Early Start fee of $25 per artist per hour before 7 am.
Men's Grooming - Hair or Make up, $30. Both, $50.
South Asian Bridal styling/jewelry and dupatta (head only, dupatta pinning on your outfit/making pleats etc. needs to be booked separately) setting included.
Mehndi pricing available upon request. Mehndi services for the Bride and her party Is included free with a booking of any of our Bridal Packages.
